Copyright & Trademark

IFNN can stand for Independent Financial News Network, which means that, conveniently, IFNN is an IFNN in some respects. "IFNN" and "Humanity's Crappiest News Source" are not registered with the US Copyright Office, but I request that you do not copy them (Unless you ask). However, all the individual 'articles' and 'news' contained here are protected by standard US copyright rule, which states that to be copyrighted, a work must a) be a work of authorship (I am the author), b) must be original (Only another lunatic could come up with this insanity), and c) must be fixed in a tangible medium of expression (they exist in Google Docs1 that can be viewed by anyone with internet access); this means my 'articles' meet all three requirements and are legally protected. Although, to my knowledge, the trademark symbol itself actually has no legal value and serves more as a visual "Don't copy me!" reminder. Please do not reproduce, electronically or physically, the phrases "IFNN" in reference to this media, "Humanity's Crappiest News Source", the IFNN logo, or any other media contained in this website for commercial purposes without the explicit permission of Wiat A. Acenson, whom you can reach via email at ifnn.web@gmail.com

Most of my 'articles' come with an image. Because this all started out as, and still mainly is, mostly a joke I do to make people, shall we say, comedically satisfied, I originally had no intent on nor was I concerned with who or what the images I was using belonged to. Because of this, I cannot guarantee that any articles before Installment No. 120 have proper image attribution or credit given. If you see any copyrighted, illegal, or content otherwise unsuited to be on this website, inform me immediately at ifnn.web@gmail.com; I will remove the content in question as soon as possible. I did not, nor do I now have access to a proper photo editor (commonly referred to as "Photoshop"), so most of my images are actually made using clear PNGs and overlapping images in Google Slides1, hence why there is an entire section in the online folder labelled "Images (Google Slides)". Though I still use the Google Slides method for image editing, I have attempted to properly attribute all images where necessary. I prefer to use sites like PNGtree and Pixabay (Great, but not sponsored)) because they confirm that all free products are still for commercial use. To be precise, PNGtree says "Free users can get the license rights for the image: The content of the picture is for personal use and commercial use, but the commercial use must indicate the source or attribution and forbidden to print in physical form to sell." and Pixabay clearly states the license of the item in question on the page. I credit all my image sources, but again, should you see I made a mistake, do not hesitate to tell me.

If you wish to use an image created by IFNN for whatever purpose, simply request to do by emailing me at ifnn.web@gmail.com. Chances are I'll say yes.
