In Brief

     Taking inspiration from The Onion and the like, IFNN was created one day by me, Wiat A. Acenson, for fun in some spare time. After creating my first "news" article, I showed it to some friends and family, who gave positive feedback. As it "grew", I developed it in a more professional (I use that term loosely) manner and eventually made this website. Most of the articles I create are relatively family friendly, so please, enjoy yourself here! If you have any questions, comments, complaints, or anything else you want to say, you can email me anytime at ifnn.web@gmail.com.

Readers' Notes:

- Standard release time is 5 AM, generally on a M-W-F schedule. Article output depends on the writer's availability and can fluctuate between two and five full-length articles per week. IFNN News is seldom published on weekends.

- If you are viewing this website on a mobile device (virtually anything that's not a PC, laptop, or iPad), know that this website was not built to fit your device. Though some features have been adjusted, not all may appear properly on your screen and we request you switch to a computer. 

In Detail

     Though that briefing told the basics of this prolonged saga of humorous news, there are some other things you should know about IFNN. To present these we shall use what is surely the most reformed and clearest form of communication yet invented: bullet points.

- We really, really shouldn't have to say this, but as is repetitively proven by the latest Darwin Award winners and general failure of the human race to do anything but squabble over meaningless issues and fight, people are generally not smart. This may not include you, but it is nonetheless necessary to include this disclaimer to use as future reference: ALL news presented at IFNN is COMPLETELY FAKE - DO NOT SPREAD any facts or articles you see here as truth. We are not responsible for any ensuing events that occur due to ignorance of this disclaimer. Now for some more random things.

- IFNN is based in Glen Allen, VA, USA, Earth, Solar System, Milky Way Galaxy, Local Group, Virgo Supercluster, Laniekea Supercluster, Pisces-Cetus Complex Galaxy Filament and was established in Jembroctunembruary 38, 2Öξ4.

- IFNN is made and run entirely by one person: Wiat A. Acenson.

​

- Although the brief paragraph at the top somewhat describes the story, it was severely condensed and the full origins of IFNN went something like this: I was out at a restaurant where there were paper straws and thought as mine disintegrated, "Hey, I could make an Onion article out of this." I set out to do so and wrote a little paragraph full of humor about the utter incompetence of paper straws, added a picture, put it all in a font I liked, and made it resemble real news as much as possible, even going as far as to copy and paste an ad at the top. I liked what I'd created and showed it to my brother. He said he liked it and suggested I should show it to some other people. Over the summer (remember, I, being a 14-year-old, take a quarter of the year off) I had some spare time and, while still continuing to make news, at least when not on vacation, I decided to draft this website and share my creativity with the world... or something dumb and inspirational like that. It sat dormant for a while, but after a little while, this site was completed. And that is the story of IFNN, Humanity's Crappiest News Source.
